To prevent another revolt, he tortured and killed Cuauhtémoc, the last Aztec Emperor; Coanacoch, the King of Texcoco, and Tetlepanquetzal, King of Tlacopan.

In the 19th century, Mexico experienced several significant political events that shaped its history. 1. Mexican War of Independence (1810-1821): This armed conflict was led by various revolutionary leaders, such as Miguel Hidalgo and José María Morelos, aiming to end Spanish colonial rule.

In the nineteenth century, railroads were the symbol of economic progress and every country wanted to have them. Although the first contracts to build trains in Mexico were signed in the 1830’s, it wasn’t until the 1870’s that railroads finally ran from Mexico City to the major port of Veracruz.
