The Reading Schools accreditation programme, run by Scottish Book Trust, gives all schools across Scotland the chance to be supported and recognised in building a reading culture for their pupils and local communities.
Reading Schools provides an option for educational settings to advance to silver and gold status, and the programme also encourages collaboration within and between schools. Those who sign up to the accreditation receive resources, training and support from Scottish Book Trust.
31 de ago. de 2023 · So far, 371 schools have been awarded Reading Schools accreditation and 511 more have joined the programme – which independent evaluation has shown leads to more pupils reading for pleasure and can help to reduce the poverty-related attainment gap.
