La ciudad está ubicada entre las colinas y el río Po. Si bien tiene monumentos de la edad romana, y sobre todo góticos, su aspecto es de una ciudad del año 1700. Muy agradable de recorrer, tranquila y ordenada, sus habitantes sumamente amables.
