Urval (French pronunciation:) is a commune in the Dordogne department in Nouvelle-Aquitaine in southwestern France. It is situated near the left bank of the river Dordogne, southeast of Le Buisson-de-Cadouin. It was part of the commune of Le Buisson-de-Cadouin between 1974 and 1989.
Urval is close to the beautiful village of Cadouin which is home to an imposing abbey with a lovely cloister. Nearby Belves is another charming town and well worth a visit. It even has a troglodyte settlement under its centre.
Urval is a small village but it is set in a valley in the beautiful Dordogne countryside and boasts some delightful Perigourdine style houses. It also has three particular monuments that make the village well worth a visit if you are in the neighbourhood.
