A gold rush village, Kyneton offers the best of country living with the sophistication of the city. Once a place of rest for miners on the way to the Bendigo goldfields, Kyneton now boasts a tempting array of renowned restaurants, wineries and cafes, day spas, boutiques and cultural festivals.
Kyneton is located in the Macedon Ranges, 87km NW of Melbourne - an easy one hour drive up the Calder Freeway. Follow the signposts and take the first exit left into Kyneton. Turn left at the top of the freeway exit into High Street, which will take you directly down to the town centre.
Kyneton is one of the prettiest small towns in Victoria. Located in the state’s Spa Country and close to some lovely walks, it also has a thriving food scene and some gorgeous historic architecture. Best of all, the town is only an hour’s drive or just under a 1.5 hour train ride from Melbourne.
