El Christ Church (en latín: Ædes Christi, el templo o la casa de Cristo, y algunas veces conocido como The House), es uno de los colleges más grandes que constituyen la Universidad de Oxford en Inglaterra.
Christ Church, formally titled "The Dean and Chapter of the Cathedral Church of Christ in Oxford of the Foundation of King Henry the Eighth", is the only academic institution in the world which is also a cathedral, the seat of the Bishop of Oxford.

Christ Church Cathedral is the cathedral of the Anglican diocese of Oxford, which consists of the counties of Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Berkshire. It is also the chapel of Christ Church, a college of the University of Oxford. This dual role as cathedral and college chapel is unique in the Church of England.

The strength of Oxford architectural tradition and Christ Church's connection to its founder, Henry VIII, motivated the decision to complete the gatehouse structure, left unfinished by Cardinal Wolsey at the date of his fall from power in 1529, and which had remained roofless since.
Christ Church Cathedral is one of the oldest buildings in Oxford and one of the smallest cathedrals in the Church of England. For almost 900 years this church has stood here as a place of worship and prayer. The Cathedral is a working building, with a dual role as the cathedral for the diocese of Oxford and the college's chapel.
