Margrave Philip II of Baden (born 19 February 1559 in Baden-Baden – died 7 June 1588 in Baden-Baden) was from 1571 to 1588 Margrave of the Margraviate of Baden-Baden. He was the son of the Protestant Margrave Philibert of Baden-Baden and the Catholic Mechthild of Bavaria .
Philip II died suddenly in 1588 at the age of twenty-nine, leaving the margraviate large debts, but no heir. Upper Baden Occupation Edward Fortunatus, Margrave of Baden-Baden (1588-1594). After Philip's death, his cousin, Edward Fortunatus became the reigning margrave.

The Margraviate of Baden ( German: Markgrafschaft Baden) was a historical territory of the Holy Roman Empire. Spread along the right banks of the Upper Rhine in south-western Germany, it was named a margraviate in 1112 and existed until 1535, when it was split into the two margraviates of Baden-Durlach and Baden-Baden.
