  4. Hace 5 días · This transept probably contained the altar of St. Stephen, and may be the chantry founded by Sir John Leigh in the reign of Henry VII. Outside, in the apex of the east wall, is a rough stone bellcote, in which hangs a small bell. The north transept, added about 1550, was practically rebuilt in 1741.
