LLM Programs. Our LLM (Master of Law) degree programs expand students' knowledge of law and legal processes and provide opportunities for them to gain expertise in a specialized field of law.
Applicants to the general LLM and LLM in International Human Rights Programs must have a first degree in law (e.g., LLB) from a university outside of the United States with comparable requirements as Northwestern’s, or a JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
The General LLM Program at Northwestern is very flexible, allowing students to design a program of study that meets both their academic and career goals.
