He was a child prodigy who, aged eleven, became the youngest student to enter the Royal Academy Schools.

Sir Everett Millais, 2nd Bt. was born on 30 May 1856. He was the son of Sir John Everett Millais, 1st Bt. and Euphemia Chalmers Gray. He married Mary St. Lawrence Hope-Vere, daughter of William Edward Hope-Vere and Lady Mary Emily Boyle, on 10 April 1886. He died on 7 September 1897 at age 41.
