Walter Savage Landor (Warwick, 30 de enero de 1775 - Florencia, 17 de septiembre de 1864) fue un poeta y escritor inglés en su idioma materno y en latín, relacionado con la escuela lakista.
Walter Savage Landor (30 January 1775 – 17 September 1864) was an English writer, poet, and activist. His best known works were the prose Imaginary Conversations, and the poem "Rose Aylmer," but the critical acclaim he received from contemporary poets and reviewers was not matched by public popularity.
As a poet, Walter Savage Landor was best known for his classic epigrams and idylls. He was a seriously emulative classicist and wrote a significant proportion of his poetry in Latin, which was also the original language of some of the long and short poems that he published in English.
Walter Savage Landor. Nació el 30 de enero de 1775 en Warwick, Warwickshire, Inglaterra. Abandonó la Rugby School y la Universidad de Oxford por desacuerdo con la autoridad de estas instituciones. Su primera obra poética fue Gebir (1798) donde destaca el poema ' Rose Aylmer ' (1806).

Imaginary Conversations is Walter Savage Landor's most celebrated prose work. Begun in 1823, sections were constantly revised and were ultimately published in a series of five volumes.
