Luis I de Portugal, apodado el Popular (Lisboa, 31 de octubre de 1838-Cascaes, 19 de octubre de 1889), [1] fue rey de Portugal entre 1861 y 1889. Era el segundo hijo de la reina María II y del rey consorte Fernando II, príncipe de Sajonia-Coburgo-Gotha, y fue duque de Oporto y Viseu. [1]
