The Central Hessian dialect is a German dialect subgroup of the Hessian branch of Central German. There is not one dialect in Hessen. If you are used to it, you can even hear the differences from places 10km apart. I'm from the very south, and people from Kassel sound almost foreign to me. You have to chose - and I would recommend the Frankfurt dialect.
