Hace 5 días · On the death of his 10-year-old cousin Esmé Stewart on 10 August 1660, He succeeded as 3rd Duke of Richmond and 6th Duke of Lennox. [4] In that same year he was created Hereditary Great Chamberlain of Scotland, Hereditary Great Admiral of Scotland, and Lord-Lieutenant of Dorset. On 15 April 1661 he was invested with the Order of the Garter.

Mary (1496-1533) was married for a short time to Louis XII of France, and after his death married her brother's best friend, Charles Brandon, Duke of Suffolk.

Hace 3 días · Charles Brandon Duke of Suffolk was lord, Thomas Grey Marquis of Dorset conveying it to him in Hillary Term, ao. 21, by fine, on whose death it was granted to the Lady Anne of Cleves, late wife of the aforesaid King. In the reign of Queen Elizabeth it was in the Crown, and farmed at 20l. per ann.
