He gave £1,000 for the rebuilding of St. Mary's Aldermary Church, where he was afterwards buried, but 'his bones were unkindly cast up' (Stow, i., 253). Two later Lord Mayors, Sir William Laxton (1544–5) and Sir Thomas Lodge (1562–3) were buried in his vault. 1504.
