William Pickles HARTLEY's parents were John HARTLEY [Whitesmith/Drysalter and Primitive Methodist Choir Master] b.13th July 1825 at Trawden and Margaret PICKLES b.abt.1825 at Colne [her father was John PICKLES of Cowling Head, Keighley, North Yorkshire]. Margaret died young on 18th May 1870.

In a separate bowl, add flour, salt, cinnamon, and ground cloves. bake in greased 13 x 9 pan for 30 – 40 minutes.

Immediately to the N. of it is a mass of rubble masonry enclosing a cellar with a segmental barrel-vault. There is also a length of rubble walling N.E. of the house and occasional outcrops of rubble core N. and W. of the house.
Hace 1 día · It has a well preserved Norman keep and it’s trying very hard (though not, as yet, fully succeeding) to turn itself into an historical visitor attraction, come hotel and wedding venue. The story boards in the keep itself offer a fascinating insight into the long and somewhat chequered history of the castle, its owners and the surrounding area.
