  6. Do nighthawks mob red-tailed hawks? Bird ID Request. Or do my eyes deceive me? I couldn't find an answer by googling--the wing bars on the undersides of the wings made me think it was a nighthawk, but I've never seen one before so I'm unsure. It was circling near the red tail, getting close every once in a while but never making contact. Thanks!
