I am a Roy Roger western watcher, the western genre is my favorite. I'm a huge John Wayne fan. That being said I was never sure if it was going to actually be a throwback western or an anti-western I could like it either way but sometime Depp is too weird for me. But Robert Mitchum being in it always gave me hope.
