After graduating from the Sorbonne, he received tonsure at the age of nineteen and soon after became attached to the house of Charles de Beaumanoir, Bishop of Le Mans, whom he accompanied to Rome in 1635.

Paul Scarron (1 Juli 1610 – 6 Oktober 1660) (alias Monsieur Scarron) adalah seorang penyair, pengarang drama dan novelis Prancis kelahiran Paris. Ia dibaptis pada 4 Juli 1610.
