Gebhard Leberecht von Blücher var en prøyssisk feltherre.Blücher gikk tidlig inn i svensk, fra 1760 i prøyssisk tjeneste. His full title was Gebhard, 4th Prince Blucher von Wahlstalt. The prince married an English woman, Miss Evelyn Mary Stapleton-Bretherton, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Stapleton-Bretherton, of the Hall, Rainhill, Lancashire, who survives him. They spent most of their time in England until the war broke out.
