Katherine Lister, daughter of Sir Thomas Villiers Lister K.C.M.G and Fanny Harriet Coryton, was born on 10 Sep 1868 in Sunninghill, Berkshire, England and died on 15 Jan 1961 in Henley on Thames, Oxfordshire, England at age 92. He was appointed the European unofficial member of the Legislative Council of Ceylon from 1924 to 1931, appointed member of the State Council of Ceylon (1932) and chairman of George Steuart Group.
Daughter of William John Hamilton and Hon. Margaret Frances Florence Dillon. She married Sir Thomas Villiers Lister on 10 July 1877.
