Conrad Sebastian Robert Russell, 5th Earl Russell, FBA (15 April 1937 – 14 October 2004), was a British historian and politician. His parents were the philosopher and mathematician Bertrand Russell and his third wife Patricia Russell. He was also a great-grandson of the 19th-century British Whig Prime Minister Lord John Russell. [1]

Edith Finch Russell (1900–1978), writer, biographer, and the fourth wife of Bertrand Russell. Edith Rosenbaum (1879–1975), American fashion buyer, stylist and correspondent for Women's Wear Daily, best remembered for surviving the 1912 sinking of the RMS Titanic; due to rampant anti-German sentiment in Paris during and just after the World War I, Rosenbaum anglicized her surname to "Russell."
Edith Russell (1900–1978) was an American biographer and part-time academic at Bryn Mawr College with whom BR became acquainted through his American friend Lucy Donnelly. She was the author of Wilfred Scawen Blunt (1938) and Carey Thomas of Bryn Mawr (1947). The former Edith Bronson Finch became BR’s fourth wife in 1952.
She first met Russell in the 1930s through her close friend and housemate Lucy Martin Donnelly, who was a friend of Russell's first wife, Alys. Edith Finch shared a home on Beech Road, Rosemont, Penn, with Lucy Donnelly from 1936 to 1948, when Donnelly died. Finch moved to England in 1950 and married Russell in December 1952.
