August 14, 1653 to October 6, 1688) Christopher Monck, 2nd Duke of Albemarle (August 14, 1653 - October 6, 1688) was the son of George Monck, 1st Duke of Albemarle and Anne Clarges (d.1700), daughter of John Clarges, "Farrier in the Savoy," of Drury Lane, Westminster. He was educated privately and entered Gray's Inn in 1662.
