Eastern Orthodoxy. Maria Palaiologina ( Serbian: Марија Палеолог / Marija Paleolog) was the Queen consort of Stefan Dečanski (1324–1331). Maria was the daughter of panhypersebastos John Palaiologos, and great-niece of Emperor Andronikos II Palaiologos (r. 1282–1328). Her father was the governor of Thessaloniki in the early 1320s.

Eudokia Palaiologina. Eudokia Palaiologina or Eudocia Palaeologina (Greek: Ευδοκία Παλαιολογίνα) (c. 1265 – 1302) was the third daughter of Byzantine Emperor Michael VIII Palaiologos and his wife, Theodora Doukaina Vatatzina, a grandniece of Emperor John III Doukas Vatatzes of Nicaea.

Michael VIII Palaeologus, Theodora Doukaina Vatatzaina. Family. In 1253, Michael VIII married Theodora Doukaina Vatatzaina, a grandniece of John III Ducas Vatatzes, Emperor of Nicaea. Orphaned in childhood, she was raised by her great-uncle John III, who was said to have "loved her like a daughter", and who arranged for her marriage to Michael.
