Alma mater. Alma mater (Latin: alma mater, lit. 'nourishing mother'; pl.: almae matres) is an allegorical Latin phrase used to proclaim a school that a person has attended or, more usually, from which one has graduated. [1] [2] [3] Alma mater is also a honorific title for various mother goddesses, especially Ceres or Cybele. [4]
The permanent and changing exhibitions provide visitors with the opportunity of engaging with Frankfurt’s significant role during the Middle Ages, the history of the alma mater Viadrina, military history, Frankfurt's rich and famous musical history and city developments into the 20th century.
Michael Praetorius. Alexander Gottlieb Baumgarten fue un filósofo y profesor alemán este este estudio en la universidad Halle y en 1740 fue nombrado filósofo del Alma Mater Viadrina donde permaneció por 22 años y cuenta con un fallecimiento temprano. Su primer curso de estética fue dictado por el en el año 1742 en la misma universidad ya antes mencionada.
