  5. Kings Row is essentially a lament for the lost days of the Victorian Era, made as a salve for those making their way through the confusing years of World War II. The story is full of tragedy which seems to be the product of moral decay that these young folks naturally invite in because they spend too much time frolicking through the countryside instead of singing in church.
