1 de may. de 2015 · Florence is the birthplace of the Renaissance and holds one-third of the world's art; the High Renaissance art history class helped me appreciate all of the city's treasures. I participated in this course at the British Institute of Florence in June, 2016, and it was one of the most memorable experiences of my life.
From our foundation in 1917, the Library has always been the beating heart of the British Institute of Florence. One of the largest English language lending libraries in Europe, it is a humanities collection, with strong holdings in English and Italian literature, history, and history of art.
Our 2024 cycle of monthly courses can be followed in person, with lectures and visits conducted in Florence, or online via Zoom. "Blended" lectures (live and via zoom silmultaneously) are held and broadcast from the British Institute library on Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons, while visits are conducted on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons.
