The movie is bland hackwork; its crime isn't incompetence, but indifference. Diane Keaton and Robert De Niro star as divorced parents with three grown-up children.
Don and Ellie Griffin (Robert de Niro and Diane Keaton) are a dysfunctional couple who have been separated for a long time. When their adopted son Alejandro gets married, his religious, biological mother is also invited. To avoid offending the guest of honor at the wedding, Don and Ellie must pretend to be a happily married couple.
