Gangs of New York ou Les Gangs de New York au Québec est un film italo-américain réalisé par Martin Scorsese et sorti en 2002. Il s'agit d'une adaptation cinématographique de l'ouvrage non fictionnel The Gangs of New York: An Informal History of the Underworld de Herbert Asbury publié en 1927 [ 1 ] .

En fin, “Gangs of New York” me ha gustado mucho, Scorsese nos ha saciado tras esperar durante varios años, y lo más característico ha sido la brillante interpretación de Daniel Day-Lewis, la adptación a la época, las batallas y un guión de hierro que hará que no nos aburramos por su extensión. On pourrait par exemple croire que la ville de Paris de l’époque se résumait à Jacques Chirac, puis à Jean Tibéri, puis à Bertrand Delanoé, puis à Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Neymar Junior ou Anne Hidalgo.
