The history of Holland Park School began in the late 1950s with a campaign against the building of the school championed by John Betjeman. Protests notwithstanding it opened in 1958 as one of London’s very first comprehensive schools.
Sixth Form. There is a strong academic focus at Holland Park Sixth Form. Our unquestionable purpose in setting out Sixth Form life is to engender a culture that is rigorously academic. But alongside the academic strand of the Sixth Form, we have also fostered a climate of high-level social activity and a commitment to high culture.
Open Evening Wednesday 12th October & Open Morning Thursday 13th October. We are delighted to introduce our school to prospective students. Our sixth form Open Evening is on Wednesday 12th October (17.00pm – 19.30pm) and our Open Morning is on Thursday 13th October (9.00am – 10.45am). Holland Park is significantly over-subscribed in each year group. The school generally receives in excess of 1800 applications for its 240 places in Year 7 each year.
