8 de dic. de 2023 · Ira David Wood III leans on the chair behind his son, Ira David Wood IV. After 50 years of playing the part of Ebenezer Scrooge in Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol,” David retires from the role this season, passing it on to Ira and the next generation of actors.
In 2004, the Raleigh City Council unanimously voted to rename the building as the “Ira David Wood III Pullen Park Theatre” to reflect the decades of work done by Artistic and Executive Director, Ira David Wood III. The beautiful gardens outside Theatre In The Park are lovingly maintained by John S. Bento, whom the garden is named for.
