22 de jul. de 2008 · Sophie was the youngest of three children -- and only daughter -- of Prince Wilhelm of Saxe- Weimar-Eisenach and Princess Gerda of Isenburg - Büdingen. She was born at Düsseldorf in 1888 and died at Heidelberg on September 9, 1913. She took her own life because her father would not allow her to marry the man she loved.
Life. Ernestine Auguste Sophie was a daughter of the Duke Ernest August I of Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach and his second wife, Margravine Sophie Charlotte of Brandenburg-Bayreuth, daughter of George Frederick Charles, Margrave of Brandenburg-Bayreuth . On 1 July 1758, she married in Bayreuth Ernest Frederick III, Duke of Saxe-Hildburghausen (1727–1780).
Life. She was a daughter of Ernest Augustus I, Duke of Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach (1688-1748) from his first marriage with Princess Eleonore Wilhelmine of Anhalt-Köthen (1696-1726), the daughter of Emmanuel Lebrecht, Prince of Anhalt-Köthen. She married on 19 November 1744 in Eisenach to John Frederick, Prince of Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt (1721-1767).
