Damian Elwes. Art Department: The Favor. Damian Elwes was born on 10 August 1960 in London, England, UK. He is an actor, known for The Favor (1994), Yesterday's Hero (1979) and Killing Time (1984). He has been married to Lewanne Collie since 1996. They have two children. He was previously married to Christina Oxenberg.
Damian ELWES (b. 1960) is a British artist who lives and works in Santa Monica, California. In the 1940s, Henri Matisse advised young artists to make copies of their favorite paintings. Nearly half a century later, Damian Elwes decided to follow his advice with a twist.
In the late 1980s, he became drawn to representations of the artist's studio. Elwes unravels the mysticism of the studio by revealing the fantastic, singular and often complicated realities of spaces which define, and in turn which are defined by, the artistic processes of their occupants.
