An Post collect the customs charges on your behalf that are charged by Revenue on items delivered to Ireland from non-EU countries. In order for your parcel to be processed and delivered, these charges must be paid. If VAT or customs charges are due on the item, where possible, we will contact you by post, text or email.

How to track an International item. If you have purchased a tracked service, you can track the item first by using the An Post Track and Trace tool, once it has left Ireland you should then track it on the tracking service of the destination country. You can use the postage calculator just to check the cost of posting your item. You will then be given the option of buying stamps in our online shop so you can post the item yourself. Alternatively, you can calculate the cost and go to your nearest post office to complete the transaction.

We will attempt to deliver your parcels, but if delivery is not possible, we’ll try to find a safe place at your home. If the parcel cannot be delivered. it will be stored free of charge in the local Delivery Service Unit until you can collect it.
