Beautiful, interesting, incredible cinema. 7.4. /10. As a young boy, Charlie escaped the genocide of the Armenians. Now, after many years in exile he sits in a Soviet prison. Through a hole in the wall he can see into a private house. The Armenian couple who live there become his only connection to the outside world.

Our story begins in 1947, as Charlie repatriates back to Armenia only to begreeted by the harsh reality of Soviet Communism. Almost immediately Charlie is arrested and sentenced to prison.
