David and Jack, two American college students, are backpacking through Britain when a wolf attacks them. David survives with a bite, but Jack is brutally killed. As David heals in the hospital, he’s plagued by nightmares of his mutilated friend, who warns David that he is becoming a werewolf.
An American Werewolf in London is a 1981 Universal comedy/horror film written and directed by John Landis. Starring David Naughton, Griffin Dunne, Jenny Agutter, and John Woodvine, the film featured special effects by master make-up artist Rick Baker.
31 de ago. de 2021 · “An American Werewolf in London,” for all of its love for the traditions of the classic horror films, remains a truly unique cinematic experience that's not easy to repeat. Oh, plenty of werewolf movies have come in its wake and some of them have even been quite good—“Ginger Snaps” (2000) and “Brotherhood of the Wolf” (2001) leap to mind—but this one remains the gold standard.
