Shore har komponerat filmmusiken till bland annat filmtrilogin om Härskarringen som han totalt vann tre Oscarsstatyetter för (en Oscar för bästa filmmusik för Sagan om ringen och två Oscars för bästa filmmusik och bästa sång ("Into the West") för Sagan om konungens återkomst ).
