Mr. Granger is a graduate of the 2000 Defense Planning and Resource Management course at the Perry Center. A member of the People’s National Congress (PNC), he previously served as Commander of the Guyana Defence Force and as National Security Adviser from 1990 to 1992.

He was educated at the University of Guyana, the University of the West Indies and the University of Maryland and attended courses at the University of California; the National Defense University and the Joint Special Operations University.
