Abstract. The diaries of Galeazzo Ciano, Italy’s Foreign Minister between 1936 and 1943 and Benito Mussolini’s son-in-law, are among the most important testimonials of the Fascist period. To this day, however, no critical edition which would satisfy scientific standards is available for this indisputably important source.
