The defeat of Gog and Magog will precipitate the Messianic Redemption. It is difficult to dwell on this topic because it is so shrouded in mystery.

Según la Biblia, Gog es un personaje apocalíptico que surge de las tierras de Magog para guerrear contra Dios y su pueblo Israel al fin de los tiempos que viene descrito en Ezequiel y Apocalipsis. Y es también el nombre de otro personaje bíblico descendiente de Rubén, (1Cr 5:3, 4).
Ezequiel 38–39. Los capítulos 38 y 39 hablan de una gran batalla que habrá en Israel en los últimos días y que involucrará a un pueblo de “Magog”, dirigido por un rey llamado Gog. Ezequiel describe esa guerra diciendo que se llevará a cabo en “los montes de Israel”, contra los hijos de Israel que se hayan congregado en esas tierras.
En la profecía de Ezequiel encontramos dos razones. Primero, porque Jehová es quien dirigirá los asuntos; segundo, porque Gog tendrá malas intenciones. 18 Jehová dirigirá los asuntos (lea Ezequiel 38:4, 16). Veamos lo que Dios le dice a Gog: “Pondré garfios en tus mandíbulas”, y “te traeré contra mi tierra”.
