Robert Alphonso Taft, né le 8 septembre 1889 à Cincinnati et mort le 31 juillet 1953 à New York, est un homme politique américain, membre du Parti républicain, notamment sénateur de l' Ohio au Congrès des États-Unis de 1939 à 1953 et candidat aux primaires présidentielles républicaines en 1940, 1948 et 1952.
Robert Taft was de kleinzoon van voormalig minister van Defensie Alphonso Taft en de zoon van de Amerikaanse president William Howard Taft. Hij werd geboren in Cincinnati en studeerde rechten aan Yale en Harvard. In 1914 trouwde hij met Martha Wheaton Bowers, met wie hij vier kinderen kreeg.
