2 de ene. de 2020 · Born at Pau, France on January 26, 1763, Jean-Baptiste Bernadotte was the son of Jean Henri and Jeanne Bernadotte. Raised locally, Bernadotte elected to pursue a military career rather than become a tailor like his father. Enlisting in the Régiment de Royal-Marine on September 3, 1780, he initially saw service in Corsica and Collioure.
Désirée married Baron Niclas Silfverschiöld (1934–2017) in 1964, and has lived at Koberg Castle in Västergötland since then. The couple have three children: Carl (born 1965), Christina Louise (born 1966) and Hélène (born 1968). Three princesses at Haga: Birgitta, Margaretha and Desirée. Désirée = Desiree, Annemarie Selinko Eugénie Bernardine Désirée Clary (8 November 1777 – 17 December 1860), in Swedish officially Eugenia Bernhardina Desideria, was Queen of Sweden and Norway as the consort of King Charles XIV John (a former French General and founder of the House of Bernadotte), mother of Oscar I, and one-time fiancée of Napoleon Bonaparte.
Desideria (Désirée Clary), 1777–1860. Désirée was born on 8 November 1777 in Marseilles, the youngest of nine children. Her parents were François Clary and Françoise Rose Soumis. After the revolution, she got to know Jean Baptiste Bernadotte. They were married in 1798, and their son Oskar (I) was born the following year.
There, Bernadotte proposes marriage and assures Désirée that he will not mind that she first loved Napoleon. By 4 Jul 1799, Désirée and Bernadotte have happily settled into married life and have a son, Oskar. When Josephine and Napoleon pay their respects to the new parents, Josephine sadly confides in Désirée how much she envies her her son.
