6 Cet article se propose d’étudier le rapport de la théorie de Sen au relativisme en remontant aux fondements de l’éthique des capabilités. Nous montrerons que pour enrichir sa critique de l’utilitarisme et développer sa théorie normative, Sen fait appel à la notion classique, en philosophie morale, de « relativité par rapport à l’agent » (agent relativity).
