Andrey Anatolyevich Zaliznyak (29 April 1935 – 24 December 2017) was a Russian linguist, an expert in historical linguistics and grammar. He was born in Moscow . He was known for his attention to the popularizing of linguistics and to the struggle against pseudoscience . [1]
Andrey Anatolievich Zaliznyak was born on April 29, 1935 in Moscow in the family of an engineer Anatoly Andreyevich Zaliznyak and a chemist Tatiana Konstantinovna Krapivina. In 1958 he graduated from the Department of Romance and Germanic Languages at Lomonosov Moscow State University.
