The last Uproar, Sir Humphrey, has died leaving caretaker Gudgin facing two scheming men who are plotting to steal Motley Hall out from under him. It's up to the ghosts to figure out a way to save Motley Hall and their way of life (death)!

1 de ene. de 1977 · This upsets the only inhabitants still in the place - five ghosts who literally have nowhere else to go, as they are tied to the Hall. So they try and ensure its continued survival and to help decide who will one day own the place... It's mildly amusing for the most part, but the story succeeds because the ghosts are such charming characters.
