It was a bizarre combination of sketches, musical numbers, and celebrity guests that was so absurd it developed a cult following mainly because it was the first TV appearance of KISS. I adore this special and watch it every Halloween.

Eventually, they realized that it would be in the form of comedy specials, the most popular of which was 1976’s The Paul Lynde Halloween Special.
