Alice Ernestine Prin, Kiki, nació el 2 de octubre de 1901 en el seno de una familia humilde de Châtillon-sur-Seine, una pequeña ciudad de Borgoña. Kiki visitó París por primera vez a los trece años, y con catorce su familia la puso a trabajar en la capital. A los diecisiete años ya había sucumbido al encanto de Montparnasse.

She's put on a few pounds, but retains her classic beauty (or at least Kisling does). Kiki was born Alice Ernestine Prin in 1901, which makes it easy to figure her age as the century went on.
Après la lecture de la BD Kiki de Montparnasse, c'est naturellement que j'ai voulu aller un peu plus loin et lire les mémoires de la bouche même de "Kiki", alias Alice Prin. Si l'ambiance est bien là (le Montparnasse et ses peintres fauchés, ses lieux nocturnes), si la gouaille de Prin donne une saveur inimitable, son côté "moi-je" a tendance à énerver.
