Jan 13, 1596 - Apr 27, 1656 Jan Josephszoon van Goyen was a Dutch landscape painter. Van Goyen was an extremely prolific artist; approximately twelve hundred paintings and more than one thousand drawings by him are known.

13 de may. de 2015 · Van Goyen was one of the most prolific artists of the 17th century and his tremendous output inevitably led to repetition. Some 1,200 paintings and 800 drawings are known by Van Goyen. Many of the latter were made on his travels around the Netherlands, France and Germany. He lived in Leiden from 1618 to 1632, spending his last years in The Hague.

Jan van Goyen. Jan Josephszoon van Goyen (ur. 13 stycznia 1596 w Lejdzie, zm. 27 kwietnia 1656 w Hadze) – holenderski malarz pejzażysta . Tworzył w Lejdzie, Haarlemie, a od 1631 w Hadze. Był, wraz z Jacobem van Ruisdaelem pionierem realistycznego stylu w pejzażu. Szkicował z natury, studiował wygląd chmur i efekty świetlne.
