A letter by Charles V to his aunt, Margaret of Austria, 19 October 1518, after she had returned to her previous position as his governess for the Netherlands. In 1520, Charles made Margaret his governor-general in gratitude for her services. She was the only regent he ever re-appointed indefinitely from 1519 until her death in on 1 December 1530.

Carlos I de Austria ( Karl von Habsburg-Lothringen; en húngaro: IV Károly; Persenburg, 17 de agosto de 1887 1 - Funchal, 1 de abril de 1922) fue el último emperador del Imperio austrohúngaro y rey de Bohemia y Croacia, entre 1916 y 1918. Fue conocido como Carlos I de Austria, IV de Hungría, III de Bohemia y IV de Croacia.
The ostensible cause was the future Charles III of Austria (1711–1740) claiming the vacant Spanish throne in 1701. Leopold engaged in the war but did not live to see its outcome, being succeeded by his Joseph I in 1705. Joseph's reign was short and the war finally came to an end in 1714 by which time his brother Charles III had succeeded him.
