St George’s Chapel is open to visitors from 10am to 4pm via the Windsor Castle admission centre on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Access to the Chapel may be limited after 2.30pm due to the current high number of visitors. Spending time soaking in the atmosphere of this wonderful building can be a very rewarding experience.

Work on the present chapel began when Edward IV was king, in 1475. The east end, or Quire (choir), was completed by 1484.

Die St. George’s Chapel ist ein klassisches Beispiel für die englische Gotik mit ihrem perpendikularen Stil. Bis 1483 wurden die Chorscheiben und das Dach fertiggestellt. St. George's Chapel är beläget vid Windsor Castle, ett av den brittiska monarkens huvudresidens.
